As Independent AMSOIL Dealers, one of the ways we can earn income is by registering Commercial Accounts (Businesses that purchase AMSOIL products at wholesale to use in company equipment) and Retail/Installer Accounts (Businesses that either stock AMSOIL on their shelves or install it in customer vehicles)

AMSOIL makes it easy and convenient for Dealers to register new accounts with the online application forms

The online application for AMSOIL retail and commercial accounts offers improved security and a streamlined experience that can help you and your new accounts keep track of the application’s progress.

Online Registration  
Printed commercial and retail account applications are no longer accepted now that the account application process has been moved online. Having a secure online application helps better protect customer information. Tax and credit applications are also included in the online registration process to allow for a complete sign-up for the account.

Account Application Process  
The online commercial and retail account application does not have separate EZ application forms in the Dealer Zone. Instead, the link to registration goes directly to one form that is consistent with all other AMSOIL customer applications. There is also be improved information on the status of pending account applications in the Dealer Zone so you can keep track of where your new accounts are in the application process. Go to Business Tools> Registrations & Renewals>Registrations to view the status of pending account applications.

Email Verification
Commercial and retail account applications require an email verification from the new account before the registration process moves forward. This ensures that the prospective business is authentic and ready to become an AMSOIL account and helps eliminate any duplicate accounts from being created during the application process. Once an application is submitted, new accounts should check for a verification email in their inbox. If they do not receive the email verification, they may need to check the spam or junk folders in their inbox.

The AMSOIL commercial and retail account application can be found in the Dealer Zone under Business Tools > Registrations and Renewals > Registrations.

In this post, I’m sharing my actual AMSOIL dealer income for May 2024 along with information on where the income came from and what influenced the results.  These reports are published to provide transparency and help others realistically evaluate the AMSOIL dealer opportunity.

With that said, let's have a quick look at how May, 2024 went for me...

​The green line above shows my total commissions earned each month so far in 2024.  The other coloured lines represent previous years.  As you can see, May was a great month for sales and commissions.  In fact, I earned my highest monthly commissions ever!

The chart above shows my actual commission payments from 2021 to present.  Green numbers mean that I had over 12% growth when compared to the same period the previous year.  I earned $6806.46 USD for the month of May 2024 and this converted to a deposit of $9319.41 CAD into my bank account (I live in Canada)

​I still remember an early goal for my business of earning an extra $300 per month.  Several years of chipping away is starting to show some amazing results

By the way, these figures reflect my personal commissions earned during May 2024 and do not represent guaranteed or typical results

Preferred Customers continue to be my primary source of sales and income, supported by repeat purchases from existing Dealer, Retail and Commercial accounts

Here is the breakdown of my Active Personal Customers sorted by account type and sales volume in USD

• CR - Catalogue/Online Customers
• PC - Preferred Customers
• D - Independent Dealers
• RA - Retailer/Installer Accounts
• CA - Commercial Accounts

As always, most of my sales came from existing customers and accounts who continue to purchase AMSOIL products.  I did add some new customers as well

​My Active Personal Customers increased by 34 when compared to last month and is now at 1213 customers.  All of my new customers were Catalogue and Preferred Customers with no new dealers, retail accounts or commercial accounts​ added

I can't think of any one thing (good or bad) that dramatically impacted my income in May.  It's mostly just the compounding effect of continually chipping away at finding new customers.  It's a little like compound interest and just continues to grow over time provided I continue to look for new customers and accounts

Most dealers I interact with earn less than I do, although one dealer on my team actually earns more than me.  When I look at the official AMSOIL income disclosure statement, I'm roughly an average income earner — so there’s a wide range of outcomes

In my experience, dealer results vary significantly.  Factors such as how long someone has been in the business and the amount of effort they put in play a major role.  Personally, I don’t devote a large amount of time to the business, but I work at it strategically and consistently.  Other dealers take a more traditional approach by actively servicing retail and commercial accounts on a regular basis, and they often see results more quickly than I have

What I can say with certainty is that there is no guaranteed income as an AMSOIL dealer.  Results depend on the individual.  Each dealer has to find an approach that works for them and build the business according to their own goals, expectations, and level of commitment

Because of this variability, anyone considering this opportunity should focus less on averages and more on whether the business model fits their own goals and working style

​The $400,000 sales target is a stretch goal for me.  It will be a bit difficult to reach but that's partly why I chose it...I'll have to work hard in order for me to get there.  Additionally, the AMSOIL compensation plan has bonus payouts at specific sales levels.  If I reach $400,000 in sales, I'll earn an additional $1750 USD or approximately $2400 CAD bonus

Help one dealer become Customer Certified.  AMSOIL has an achievement level called Customer Certified.  It's relatively easy for dealers to reach that level with a little bit of effort and the rewards can really help build a person's business.  I'd like to see more dealers on my team reach that level and be rewarded for doing so

My dealer training resource is 99% complete now.  I'll fine tune a few things and add a little more information soon but then call it "done" for the rest of 2024.  I'll ensure the training I create is focused on helping dealers work toward their Customer Certification

Update the Team Website
I've been adding team members to my Team Website if they request to be added.  I'll continue to update the Team Website to help my dealer team generate leads and sales.  I'll make changes with the intent of helping dealers achieve their Customer Certification requirements

Update Retail Account Info
I have.several Retail and Installer Accounts.  I need to go through my AMSOIL Dealer Locator and update all of their information to ensure they show up with the most up-to-date information

Create Where to Buy for Retail and Installer Accounts
For my active Installer and Retail Accounts, as well as active Installer and Retail Accounts of the dealers on my team, I'll create information on the Team Website as well as on my personal website to help drive traffic to these accounts - increasing their sales for those accounts and again, always keeping my dealer teams Customer Certification in mind

Get Back to Basics
After I've completed the above tasks, I need to get back to the basics of building my own business/customer base

This post documents my actual AMSOIL dealer income for April 2024 and provides context around where the income came from and what influenced the results.  These income reports are shared for transparency and to help others realistically evaluate the AMSOIL dealer opportunity.

With that said, let's have a quick look at how April, 2024 went for me...

April, 2024 (green line above)  was another great month for sales and commissions.  Compared to last year (red line above), this April saw an increase of over 41% or $1890 USD.  I can't complain about that

The chart above shows my actual commission payments from 2021 to present.  Green numbers mean that I had over 12% growth when compared to the same period the previous year.   s you can see, I earned $6471.34 USD / $8820.69 CAD in commission in April, 2024.  I convert the USD to CAD because I live in Canada.  These are the gross commission totals and not adjusted for business expenses but my expenses are minimal so I won't bother listing my expenses here

​This is a slight decrease vs last month but a big increase when compared to April of last year so I'm very happy with this

Preferred Customers were my primary source of sales and income this month, supported by continuing purchases from existing accounts.

In April, most of my sales came from existing customers and accounts who continue to purchase AMSOIL products.  I did add some new customers as well

​My Active Personal Customers increased slightly.  I added 15 catalogue customers,  15 Preferred Customers and one new Commercial Account.

I didn't add any new Retail/Installer Accounts or Dealers - this is something I need to work on

Spring and summer are typically the best selling months with customers bringing out their specialty vehicles, motorcycles, ATVs, dirt bikes etc.  The time of year certainly helped boost sales but, it's really been my continually, slow and steady addition of new customers and accounts that has laid the groundwork for my consistent and growing AMSOIL income

When reviewing the official AMSOIL Income Disclosure, my results appear to fall somewhere around the middle in terms of average dealer income. Based on my own experience, however, it often feels like I’m doing better than many dealers. There are also some individuals earning significantly higher incomes, which can push average income figures upward. Most dealers I interact with earn less than I do, although at least one dealer on my team earns more — highlighting how wide the range of outcomes can be.

From what I’ve seen, dealer results vary considerably. How long someone has been in the business and the level of effort they apply both play an important role. In my case, I don’t devote a large amount of time to the business, but I approach it strategically and consistently. Other dealers take a more hands-on, traditional approach by actively servicing retail and commercial accounts, and they often see faster results.

What’s important to understand is that there is no guaranteed income as an AMSOIL dealer. Outcomes depend on the individual, their approach, and their goals. Each dealer ultimately needs to find a method that works for them and build the business in a way that aligns with their own expectations and level of commitment.

I like to keep an eye on my Active Personal Customers as well.  I'm currently sitting at 1148.  Growth in this area isn't as strong as I'd like to see but I have plans to improve this moving forward with a focus on helping more dealers find the AMSOIL business opportunity and more importantly, help them find success

I've nearly completed the development of my dealer training resource (that took a LONG TIME) and have started to share it with my existing dealer team and all new dealers that join my team

​This training has all of the information a person needs to earn $1000 per month and much more if he/she chooses to

As a "successful" AMSOIL Dealer, I think it's my responsibility to help new dealers find success as well.  In the past, I haven't been the greatest at reaching out to new dealers or staying in contact with my dealer team.  Completing my follow-up system will help ensure new dealers on my team find the information they need and start earning income as soon as possible and also will help build my relationships with my existing team to ensure they are happy and moving their business in the direction that they desire

Develop Dealer Recruiting System
​Once I have finished my follow-up system, I want to help more people discover this amazing business opportunity.  I have some ideas in mind as to how I'll do this but will develop this after I've shared the dealer training with my entire team and completed my new dealer welcome system
