My AMSOIL Dealer Income For May 2024
The green line above shows my total commissions earned each month so far in 2024. The other coloured lines represent previous years. As you can see, May was a great month for sales and commissions. In fact, I earned my highest monthly commissions ever!
The chart above shows my actual commission payments from 2021 to present. Green numbers mean that I had over 12% growth when compared to the same period the previous year. I earned $6806.46 USD for the month of May 2024 and this converted to a deposit of $9319.41 CAD into my bank account (I live in Canada)
I still remember an early goal for my business of earning an extra $300 per month. Several years of chipping away is starting to show some amazing results

Where This Income Came From
Preferred Customers continue to be my primary source of sales and income, supported by repeat purchases from existing Dealer, Retail and Commercial accounts
Here is the breakdown of my Active Personal Customers sorted by account type and sales volume in USD
As always, most of my sales came from existing customers and accounts who continue to purchase AMSOIL products. I did add some new customers as well
My Active Personal Customers increased by 34 when compared to last month and is now at 1213 customers. All of my new customers were Catalogue and Preferred Customers with no new dealers, retail accounts or commercial accounts added

- CR - Catalogue/Online Customers
- PC - Preferred Customers
- D - Independent Dealers
- RA - Retailer/Installer Accounts
- CA - Commercial Accounts
As always, most of my sales came from existing customers and accounts who continue to purchase AMSOIL products. I did add some new customers as well

What Affected My Earnings This Month
I can't think of any one thing (good or bad) that dramatically impacted my income in May. It's mostly just the compounding effect of continually chipping away at finding new customers. It's a little like compound interest and just continues to grow over time provided I continue to look for new customers and accounts
Is This Typical for AMSOIL Dealers?
Most dealers I interact with earn less than I do, although one dealer on my team actually earns more than me. When I look at the official AMSOIL income disclosure statement, I'm roughly an average income earner — so there’s a wide range of outcomes
In my experience, dealer results vary significantly. Factors such as how long someone has been in the business and the amount of effort they put in play a major role. Personally, I don’t devote a large amount of time to the business, but I work at it strategically and consistently. Other dealers take a more traditional approach by actively servicing retail and commercial accounts on a regular basis, and they often see results more quickly than I have
What I can say with certainty is that there is no guaranteed income as an AMSOIL dealer. Results depend on the individual. Each dealer has to find an approach that works for them and build the business according to their own goals, expectations, and level of commitment
Because of this variability, anyone considering this opportunity should focus less on averages and more on whether the business model fits their own goals and working style

My Goals for 2024
To sell $400,000 of AMSOIL products in 2024 and help one dealer on my team become Customer Certified
The $400,000 sales target is a stretch goal for me. It will be a bit difficult to reach but that's partly why I chose it...I'll have to work hard in order for me to get there. Additionally, the AMSOIL compensation plan has bonus payouts at specific sales levels. If I reach $400,000 in sales, I'll earn an additional $1750 USD or approximately $2400 CAD bonus
Help one dealer become Customer Certified. AMSOIL has an achievement level called Customer Certified. It's relatively easy for dealers to reach that level with a little bit of effort and the rewards can really help build a person's business. I'd like to see more dealers on my team reach that level and be rewarded for doing so

My dealer training resource is 99% complete now. I'll fine tune a few things and add a little more information soon but then call it "done" for the rest of 2024. I'll ensure the training I create is focused on helping dealers work toward their Customer Certification
Update the Team Website
I've been adding team members to my Team Website if they request to be added. I'll continue to update the Team Website to help my dealer team generate leads and sales. I'll make changes with the intent of helping dealers achieve their Customer Certification requirements
Update Retail Account Info
I have.several Retail and Installer Accounts. I need to go through my AMSOIL Dealer Locator and update all of their information to ensure they show up with the most up-to-date information
Create Where to Buy for Retail and Installer Accounts
For my active Installer and Retail Accounts, as well as active Installer and Retail Accounts of the dealers on my team, I'll create information on the Team Website as well as on my personal website to help drive traffic to these accounts - increasing their sales for those accounts and again, always keeping my dealer teams Customer Certification in mind
Get Back to Basics
After I've completed the above tasks, I need to get back to the basics of building my own business/customer base
