Last month, I made the decision to focus on my AMSOIL business in 2020 and I set the goal of earning $4600 per month by December 2020. Although I'm still a long ways off from my goal, I did see some growth in November and feel that I made some positive steps toward earning my financial goal by this time next year.
Let's have a quick look at the numbers...

My November, 2019 AMSOIL earnings were up 8.52% vs November, 2018. I'm not sure if this was just a fluke or if my recent increase in effort has already started to pay off but I'm happy to see the growth.
If I have a strong December, I may even qualify for a growth bonus this year - I'll need to finish the year with a growth of at least 4% or $21,632 to get the bonus. It' going to be close!

I mentioned in a previous post that I will have to grow my Active Personal Customers by roughly 32 per month if I am going to reach my goal for 2020. I'm happy to see that I grew my active customer base by 5 this month but I'll have to get much better if I am to see real improvement.
Something I may have to think about is how to stop loosing preferred customers / dealers each month. I loose around 6 or so each month. I'm not sure what to do about this but it will be something to keep in mind moving forward.

What happened:
November was a little bit strange. I REALLY struggle with staying focused on any one project and November wasn't any different.
The good:
I started the month fairly strong by creating some mental queues to remind myself to stay focused on AMSOIL including changing my computer desktop to a Ford FOCUS RS, purchasing myself an AMSOIL coffee mug, water bottle, pens and note pads to use each day. As silly as this sounds, it did help a little.
More importantly, I simplified, cancelled and otherwise removed some of the other projects I've been working on/distracted by.
Marketing Budget Creation:
I also created a marketing budget...kind of. I've never truly had a marketing budget for my AMSOIL business and really haven't really spent any money on promoting it other than buying some business cards and a few promotional items like shirts and license plate frames. I suppose this website also counts as marketing as it costs around $10 per month to keep it online.
The reason I say that I "kind of" created a marketing budget is that I've decided to use the income from one of my other projects/distractions (Watkins Products) to market my AMSOIL business. I expect this to be roughly $100 per month but some months may be zero and others may be as high as $200...only time will tell.
I earned approximately $120 in October with Watkins and used this to purchase my AMSOIL coffee mug, water bottles, note pads, pens and to pay for the website.
Not so good:
I did get side tracked for several days when a friend contacting me with an opportunity to help his company with selling on Amazon - I suspect this will probably come up again throughout 2020 but I'll do my best to at very least delay that project until I can get my AMSOIL business to where I'd like it to be.

2020 Income Goal by Month:
To repeat what I said in my October Income Report, it looks like 2019 will finish with an approximate income of $24,000 USD or $2,000 per month. To reach my goal of $4600 for the month of December, 2020 I'll need to increase my income by $250 per month each and every month of 2020. Here's how I came to that conclusion:

2020 Active Personal Customers Goal:
I crunched some numbers and each active customer is valued at $7.32. I'll ignore the fact that some customer types are more valuable than others and just watch the total number of active customers. Based on that, I need to add 32 new active personal customers per month to reach my income goal
I've Changed my Goal
I've decided to change the wording of my goal slightly. Originally I had it written as "This will allow me to become a full-time AMSOIL dealer starting January 1st, 2021" but, deep down, I don't want to work my AMSOIL business full-time. I like that fact that I can just work on the business when I feel like or when time permits. Therefore, I've changed the last sentence of my goal to now read "This will allow me to quit my day job starting January 1st, 2021"
Although it pays well, I'm not passionate about my day job. The idea of quitting that job may be the motivation I need to work harder at AMSOIL so that I can afford to quit that other job once and for all.

Action to be taken:
Reaching my goal of $4600 in monthly income by December, 2020 is going to be a challenge.
Remove distractions - Stay Focused!
I genuinely think this is going to be my biggest struggle but if I work continuously on my AMSOIL business throughout 2020, I'm sure I'll make positive improvements
Improve my SEO skills
I've always liked SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and back in the day, this is how I build all of my other businesses and even launched my AMSOIL business. Google is smarter now and I've not really improved my skills so what I've done in the past doesn't really work any more. I need to sharpen my skills and get better every day
Don't be an undercover agent
This is a silly term Real Estate Agents use. Essentially it means to let people know that you are a Realtor - or in this case, an AMSOIL Dealer. I've ordered myself an AMSOIL sweater to wear and will also order an AMSOIL jacket once my budget permits. I believe this will open up more opportunities for conversations with folks about AMSOIL and how I sell AMSOIL products
I have a lot of other ideas but for now, that's the short term plan.
If I break my goals down, all I have to do is find just one new customer per day. I don't think that will be too hard.
I hope you found this interesting. Feel free give me a call if you have any questions about becoming an AMSOIL dealer yourself. I'd be happy to help.
'till next
